I learnt this song about 10 years ago from Rob Carney, a singer and music leader with an almost shamanic way about him. He taught it to Voicebeat, the first choir I ever lead, and I've taught it every choir that I've worked with since! It's one of those songs that has a hugely calming effect on the atmosphere in the room. Nothing quite beats 40 singers in a circle all listening and rising and falling with each other's sense of stillness through this song. I've done my best to give you a little taster of Peter Makena's masterful 3-part catch.
